To me that sounds like an AI created simulation…
Why? There is sound in the recording but I can’t hear the pilot or anyone else in the cockpit speaking, shouting or screaming. Most noticeably absent is the pilot cursing or praying! ![]()
In my personal observation of almost 60 years of driving, I’d say less then 20% use turn signals when changing lanes.
Mounting camcorder on strut be ærodynamically incorrect.
This YouTube video was posted over 5-months ago but here here is an Instagram recording of it with audio… The one thing strange is that the camera angle is different and the comments are only a few days old… Got to wonder…
As someone that used to drive fast almost on a daily basis, when weather and traffic allowed, I have been in a few jams and never panicked, I am one that stays calm and can think what to do or how to do it… I have been in sideways slides at high rates of speed and yada yada yada blah blah blah…
But I think if I was to come around the bend and see a plane landing on the road in front of me, I would probable ■■■■ my pants… ![]()
So with that being said, the oncoming traffic didn’t seem to worried about a plane landing in front of them, a few cars moved over slightly, but others just drove by like this happens on a daily basis…
In my personal observation, a large percentage of that percentage being drivers of pickup trucks.
About a decade ago or so, I once rolled down my window and politely explained that I nearly collided with the other driver because they failed to indicate their lane change. Their terse response:
“It’s nobody elses’ business where I’m going”.
That attitude, along with the attitude that speed limits are bare minimum driving speed suggestions, both exemplify, to me anyway, that spirit of ‘Yankee independence’!
Why in the world would you think that anyone would want or appreciate you “politely” explaining to them that you nearly collided with them…
In the first place, that was your problem as “you nearly collided with them.” And if you had “Politely” explained to them that they nearly collided with you, well then again, they probably would not care… and a lot of Road Rage instances have started for less than a Polite reminder of a person’s poor driving…
So, my advice is drive defensively and keep your polite reminders to yourself…
How was it “my problem” if they changed lanes right in front of me without first blinkering?
By the way this incident was about ten years ago, I recalled just to highlight that “none-of-your-business” attitude that some drivers have when it comes to driving, and even with issues on their cars (a rear door, or fuel lid ajar, a low tire, a headlight or other light out). “I know that!” “It’s not your business”.
