I just had my exhaust system from the manifold to the tail pipe replaced, except for the catalytic converter.
When I get out of the car, I smell a burning smell. Is this typical for new exhaust systems?
It’s not unusual. It’s probably just residue oil. Should burn off in a few hours of driving.
I agree. It’s probably normal. It should go away after a while.
Many pipes come with a paper label attached (part # etc.) which will gradually burn off if it wasn’t peeled or scraped off.
