There have been countless times when I’ve used parts that were technically not for a specific application, but I was able to make it work, due to common sense and experience

But I have no experience with this particular Mazda 6 headlight situation

fwiw . . . Just because I’m able to make the “wrong” part work, doesn’t mean I expect everybody else will be able to do, as well. So there are situations where I keep silent, because I don’t want somebody to spend a bunch of money and then possibly come back and angrily say “I bought this because YOU said it would work and now I can’t return it”

Oh well. Ask a bunch of unknown people a question and you may get an answer you don’t want. Call me any time and you’ll get my free opinion. You’ll have to look my number up though, it’s listed under bing. There are a lot of people out there with issues like the lady that got mad when I held the door open for her. Sorry but it’s Minnesota.

I wonder if the moderator can change the settings so the OP can not edit the title of the thread. Then there wouldn’t be all this confusion.

I think ANYBODY should thank a person holding the door open for them . . . and if they get mad, instead, well, that would seem to say a lot about the person getting mad, imo
