Does anyone know how to replace a neutral safety switch on a 1975 Ford F150 with a C6 automatic? I went in to start my truck and it will only start in neutral with the lever pushed to the left. I looked and it appears to only be two bolts holding it to the transmission, is that all you do to take it out?(Along with the harness.) So far I’ve just been starting it in neutral but I figured that it will go out completely in the future.
Yup! Unplug the switch and remove the two bolts.

Before changing that switch, check that shift linkage for excessive slop and adjustment.
