Networking with other DIY in the neighborhood of Northern Virginia

Hello,

I am to some extent DIY. I recently moved to Northern Virginia (zip code 22180) from Illinois and was wondering if there are other DIY in neighborhood to network with. Also, in my previous location there were some charitable organizations and church groups that helped low income people to have their cars fixed to find employment. I liked to help on that front and was wondering anything similar exist here.

Thanks. I found one Church group having repair programs so I can volunteer. Left a message. Let us see what happens. Anyone in the neighborhood doing brake job soon before winter? If so, let us have a few of us gather and work on the cars.
