Name the new Car Talk TV show!

Auto-Mation or Auto-Nation

Dear Tom and Ray, I love the idea of your new show. They have to use your own voices or it just won’t work. I like someone’s idea of the title, “Nuts and Dolts”. Also, “Don’t Drive Like My Brother” and “CarTunes with Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers” (which is way too long for a title.)

Your faithful listener. Polly

A Perfectly Good Half Hour.

I have two suggestions
Jump Start

Loose Connection

Elliott Boone

I’ll also vote for someone else’s suggestion “Lugnuts and Dipsticks”.

I’m fond of “Up On Blocks”.

“Stationary Crew’s Control”

The Brothers Caramessup

Just to be silly, how 'bout a name with a regional accent / pronunciation? Phonetically:
Vee Hick Cull - De Fick Ull Tea [vehicle difficulty]

Well, I wish a cartoonist was still alive that made you guys look good as mechanics; it was called “Geetch”. The artist was Gerry Bittle and he was a classmate of mine and drew a funny and classic cartoon. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago. Geetch character was loosely based on himself and he put his philosophies on life in a garage setting and it always was a comedy of errors on life and those around him. Much like yours. haha

Here are some suggestions I had for naming of your TV show:

Wrench and Fix It.

So, you want us to fix your car?

I usually charge $500 an hour for this brainstorming stuff! The good news is I have a mellifluous voice and am a 1971 grad-jee-it of the Hahvahd Law School (near Hahvahd Squeeah). So I am well kwalified. Plus, I never follow your advice! I would like to be Judge Hugh Harshly on the new TV show. I’d offer to be a regular, but I would need to be paid. Sorry, guys. Unlike you I can’t do this stuff for free. What? You guys get paid?

The “Tappit Brothers”, Click & Clack, Featuring: Auto Repair, Shop Talk, And Other Useless Information.

Whoops – That should have been

Nutz and Doltz

Tom & Ray:

How about “Lugnuts” or “Lugnutz”, a show about a couple of loveable(?) but whacky lugs who profess to fix cars but actually are talk show hosts offering automotive and personal advice
