Though it’s far from the most creative or humorist ideas you’ve received and probably the most obvious… I, simply, think the right-under-one’s-nose choice for a cartoon series is… simply… drum roll please… either Click and Clack or The Tappit Brothers. By the way, what’s the story behind those names? I’ve never heard you guys talk about it. Do they have stories behind them? I’m sure they must so please do tell. Do you think it’s stories that would appeal to the cartoon crowd? Personally, I think they already have a bit of a cartoon-ish sound already.
Anyway, those are my thoughts on the matter. But more importantly thanks for making my weekend mornings, usually while cleaning the kitchen, less of a chore.
This is a great suggestion for a couple reasons. #1- You already say it every week, so we know you two bozos can say it in one take. #2- Your die hard fans will recognize, because lets face it- who else will watch this? #3- It’s just really good
The new Car Talk TV show has GOT to be named . . .
“Lug Nuts” . . .
because . . . Click & Clack are a couple of “lugs” who are “nuts,” and, as “normal” guys, they’d “lug” around “nuts.” Also, I’m sure they’ve seen (and will continue to see) MANY, MANY actual “lug nuts” as car mechanics.
(Another suggestion, for the PBS crowd, would be . . .
“The Brothers Car-amazov.” But, I prefer, “Lug Nuts.”)
“LUG NUTZ”
Says it all doesn’t it?
A show about a couple of Lugs who have over the last two decades demonstrated on the National Airwaves that they are both Nutz.
I don’t know if these suggestions have been made yet, but two titles come to mind for me when I think of a Car Talk show:
“Stump the Chumps” or “Don’t Drive Like My Brother”
