I really tried to scan as many previous posts as possible, but I only searched the first thousand and the last hundred or so…so my apologies if someone else suggested this:
“NOT The George Wendt Show.”
(Sound of crickets chirping)
C’mon, was I really the only one who watched that 1-episode wonder? Oh, yeah…maybe that was the problem…
Hi Guys, So after years of listening to your show and being envious of both your longevity and your talent. I want to offer a title to you. I know how hard it is to come up with a title that works. As a Television producer (semi retired) for more than 35 years and as thanks for being entertained through the years here is my suggestion.
MotorMouths
of course if you don’t like it there’s always:
Brothers Car-A-mouthz-off
sorry I’m serving life in the pun-a-tentury-
Brake a Leg
Hal Hutkoff
after my favorite movie, dude: The Big Blowhardski
or Gone with the Windbag
or the good, the bad and the really really ugly
or…stop me before I blow a gasket.
I came up with “Don’t Drive Like My Brother”. It meets the requirement of being identified with the show. And every episode could end with that phrase being uttered to someone!
But I see that someone has already submitted this as a suggestion. Oh well, you can always invoke the “Go Jump in a Lake” clause!
See I figure the best thing to do is to fly in under the radar. Make PBS think it’s one of their own shows. For example:
This Old Car
Ask This Old Car
Master Car Theatre
You can even use some of the BBC and BBC America names:
Keeping Up Fender
Waiting For Mechanic
The Mechanic of Dibley.
This way PBS will think it’s one of their own shows.
