Any idea what this roadside metal strip is? Must be realated to cars or trucks.
Size: Spring steel 7 1/4" x 1/8" wide x 1/32" thick. Have found by curbs and gravel shoulders everywhere in U.S.
Shims. From gas pedal assemblies.
Just kidding.
If it is what I think it is, it helps hold those tarps covering the load on open top trailers. I ended up with a new windscreen and grill after a power mower kicked one up off the berm and it hit my car.
Do you mean “dunnage?”
Some windshield wiper replacement blades come with separable strips of spring steel about that width and thickness, but much longer. The old ones probably get discarded when new blades are installed, but I can’t think why they would be broken into 7 1/4 inch lengths.
That’s the only thing that comes to mind.
