mY TOYOTA CAMRY STALLS WHEN I STOP AND ALL THE LIGHTS BEGIN TO COME ON,BUT IT CAN START RIGHT UP AGAIN IT HAS A ROUGH IDLE. WHAT COUL BE THE PROBLEM
Put the transmission in neutral as you slow to a stop. If this makes a difference in the stalling, it indicates that the torque converter lockup isn’t releasing as it should at low speeds.
Check Engine light on? If so, get the codes pulled. That’ll help narrow the problem down. Might also help to know what model year the Camry is.
Rough idle and stalling could have lots of causes. Three common ones – vacuum leaks in vacuum hoses or vacuum driven devices, problems with the Idle Air Control, EGR valve stuck open.
Pay attention to both of the prior responses. I’d just add that if any of the regular maintenance has not been done on the car then it should be - spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter. The recommended schedule is in your owner’s manual.
