Motor on cold start, tach reads 2200 rpm

2001 chevy tracker, 4 wd, 4 cylinder. when i start motor when it is cold, tach reads 22rpm, as motor warms up, tach reads about 700 rpm. tune up about 40,000 miles, new plugs and a new gas regulator. no check engine lite. still get 28/29 mpg. what would i look for and where would i look.

Sounds about right. I would’nt worry about it. Whats his name and that other guy will be along shortly. Hang loose

Digital tach? pixels in dash are slow when cold? 2200? Little high but normal. 22 not running…much
