My sons 2001 Spyder has water soaking the drivers side floormat. He’s beenrunning the a.c.but I can’t see where it might be coming from. Any ideas?
The AC drain may be plugged with leaves, bugs or debris. Get the drain cleared and the problem should go away. Make sure the water is dried up all the way down to the padding or mold will set in. That’s a whole new set of problems.
I agree with missileman. Clean the AC drain and the water will drip onto the road, where it’s supposed to go.
I also agree about the padding under the carpet. If it’s wet you’ll have to lift the carpet and remove the padding to dry it. Shop vacs won’t work.
Thanks for the help. Sounds simple enough. Only one question where the heck is the a.c. drain?
The drain tube is usually located on the firewall, low on the passenger side. You’ll probably have to raise the car to see/reach it.
Please DO NOT crawl under a car supported only by a jack. Use ramps or jack stands.
