Mini Cooper S 2006 P1498 Error code

Hello everyone,

I found this website by googling the obd2 error code P1498 on my mini cooper.

I found this discussion at this website:

I am hoping someone can tell me how to get down to the inlet duct for the supercharger. Do I do it from the top of the car or the underside of the car. There is a lot of stuff in the way topside.

The op of the previous thread, gjd52, got to where I want to go.

Any help on getting to this part would be appreciated.

I still haven’t zeroed in on the cause. It could be many things as it is a vacuum leak. But I think getting down to the intake duct to the supercharger is a good start.
