I recently went to a new mechanic for brakes for a 2002 Mini Cooper. He told me on this kind of car, BMW, that you could not resurface the rotors because of the metal used. He said I would need new rotors along with pads. I put on the premium rotors and pads as he suggested. Is that actually the case that when getting new brakes on any BMW that the rotors must be changed as well as the pads???
