I have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma that has turned into a home for mice. I live in rural Wisconsin and keep the truck outdoors. Recently while cleaning out last years accumulation of junk I went into the secret compartment under the back seat and found a mouse nest. Can you tell me how mice can get into a truck and why? Doors and windows are all kept closed so there must be a little hole somewhere but I don’t have a clue. Can you help?
There are many “little holes” through which mice can enter. Your truck is far from air tight when the doors and windows are closed. Mice can easily get in. The ventilation system is a popular way in, but there are probably others.
If the “junk” you accumulate in the truck includes anything edible the mice will come looking for it. Don’t leave food in the truck.
