I know it sounds crazy, but I was driving down the road and heard a Meow cat sound from my car. How and where can I check to make sure there is not a cat stuck underneath?
I would start by looking in the engine compartment. I hope you don’t find feline remains.
if it really is a cat, and you heard it through the soundproofing in the firewall, it’s probably a panther. I’d look in the trunk, under the spare tire (or above it if the spare tire is winched to the underside of your car), and basically anywhere underneath that has an opening that a cat could get in to. And they’re surprisingly limber, so they’ll be able to get into places you wouldn’t think they could.
Maybe you heard the Cat-alytic Converter!
;-))
I’m sorry.
The Devil made me say that.
What kind of car?
Mercury Bobcat
Mercury Lynx
Mercury Cougar
Jaguar
opppsssss, a Sebring.
Look in the engine bay and the rear axle ares.
Cats often crawl into the engine compartment when the car is parked just after it has been run because they like the warmth of the engine. Thirteen years ago, I found a kitten in our garage after we had been to a wedding reception. The garage is attached to the house and always locked. The only way the kitten could have gotten into the garage is to have ridden in under the hood of the car. It took some doing, but I managed to capture the kitten. She has been a part of our household since that time.
