95 E320 Coupe stalls on startup sometimes. Car has 50K and is in brand new shape. Any ideas?
Does it died immediately like you turned the key off? (Electrical fault?)
Does it shudder to a stop as in ‘run out of gas?’
Is all the maintenance up to date? Things like air and fuel filters, plugs and plug wires?
Try this: Turn the key to “ON” and wait 5 seconds before you turn it to “START.” That will give the fuel pump time to pressurize the system and it might prevent the stalling.
