Car driving fine, turned leftward sharp into driveway to drop off passenger. Then when leaving , gear shift completely loose, disconnected, could not get out of park. Needed tow to remove from driveway. 195K, expensive problem / repair?
The automatic transaxle shift control cable has either popped off one end or the cable has broken at one end. The cable is about 70 bucks and an hour to install.
