Marnet- i found a special one for you

@Marnet i found this one for you. It’s very rare. Moon made some very nice cars. While it’s not a 1965 Olds 98 LS, it was made in St Louis and the reason I thought of you.

That is a very interesting car… that I’ve never heard of. Quite the survivor!

Thanks for posting.

Here’s a list of all the defunct US carmakers, hundreds of them, mostly before the Great Depression:

I like it because it seems to be a good honest car . . . not an over-restored trailer queen

@old_mopar_guy Interesting. I don’t recall for certain but I think that the National Museum of Transportation here in the St. Louis metro area has a Moon automobile in its car collection

Some years ago the St. Louis History Museum had an interesting exhibit about the various early car companies based in St. Louis. The one which I have heard spoken about the most was Moon.

On an interesting side note, the transportation museum has one of the few remaining Big Boy steam locomotives.

Two Moons: a 1923 Sport 6-58 Touring and an 1890s Carriage Car plus lots more. There’s an impressive number of trucks on exhibit.
