I have a manual car, and lately when I have been shifting from first to second the E break light comes on. Am I’m I doing something to cause this or is it just a mechanical error?
If your parking brake linkage is loose and needs adjustment this might cause the dash light to come on.
That light serves double duty, as it also warns of a low fluid level in the brake master cylinder. I would suggest that you check the master cylinder and replenish the brake fluid if needed.
