Maint Req on 2007 Corolla

How do I reset the maint req light on my 2007 Toyota Corolla after maintainance is complete.

With the ignition off, push and hold the trip meter(odometer) reset button on the instrument cluster. Then while holding the button, turn the ignition to run(not start) and continue holding the reset button for few seconds and the maint light should turn off. Then you can turn the ignition off.

I believe that’s the sequence, but it’s been a while since I’ve done it so you’ll have to forgive me if I’m wrong.

Hopefully rripstop’s method works. But this info will be in your owner’s manual someplace. If you don’t have one it would be to your benefit to find one.

Doesn’t the owner’s manual explain this procedure?

Toyota probably has PDF versions of the owner’s manual on line. I know that Honda does.

No it is not!

Sorry, it didn’t work. Anybody else have the key?

Looks like rripstop was close. Try this thread: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/tundra/154610-maintenance-required-light-turn-off/

(Yes it says its a Tundra forum but these kinds of systems are often the same according to manufacturer).

Just looks like you have to set the OD to “Trip A” before starting and then hold it for some kind of countdown on the Trip A OD.

And I’d be really surprised if it isn’t in the owner’s manual - although, in these days of stupid things like “sealed” transmission units I guess I wouldn’t be. All hail the dealer service department. Pretty soon we’ll have to go there to get gasoline b/c it will require a $5000 computer to open the damn fuel cap.

My 05 Camry’s manual does explain it, and you leave it on ODO, push the reset, then turn the ignition to run/acc and keep holding, you will see — flashing and it is reset. Hopefully your 07 is the same, maybe you didn’t do it correctly the 1st time.

Just use your computers search engine and …http://www.ehow.com/how_6400319_reset-corolla_s-maintenance-required-light.html.
