I have a 2002 Ford Explorer with 82000 miles. For the past month or so, when I am accelerating around 57-62 mph, I heard a low pitch squealing. When I take my foot off the gas pedal, it stops, under 55 and over 65 I do not hear anything. Can some one explain what is happening?
Need a bit more info.
Is the squeal steady or intermittent when it happens?
Do you think it’s possible the ‘squeal’ you hear is not a squeal, but perhaps an air intake vacuum noise?
