Loss of VOLTAGE- Relays energize then click off

I’m sorry that nothing seemed to work. Did you say, “alarm system”? That wasn’t a factory installed alarm system, was it? I didn’t see any mention of an alarm system on the wiring diagrams. Of course, I didn’t see ALL the wiring circuits. Wasn’t looking. For a security and alarm system, sometimes, you have to go the specialists. Check in your Yellow Pages. I think that after a vehicle is 5 years old, the alarm and security system should self neutralize, BEFORE it starts mischief. [ Not logged in, me-art12. I DID click on LOG ME IN AUTOMATICALLY].

try a new crank position sensor…

or shorted wire to it…

Had a 90 model doing the same thing, wires to the O2 sensor had melted to the exhaust manifold, replaced sensor and relay, ran fine.

An alarm system is one of the most worthless devices ever put on a car IMHO.
They go off in the WalMart parking lot all the time and no one even looks around.
They can also cause all kinds of car starting grief.

I think every mechanic has been there once or twice and is the reason why the graveyards are full of 50+ year old alchoholic mechanics. :frowning:

No doubt the bar would run out of beer before we ran out of stories.
