I replace spark plugs every 2 years/30K miles, so haven’t had that issue myself. But here’s some info on the subject
I’ve never had a problem replacing sparkplugs that have been sitting in the heads for over 100k miles. As stated…many plugs these days come with anti-seize compound on the threads to prevent any problems. Sure it happens…but even the article you posted said it’s rare.
