the locks in my 1986 bmw 318i have locked shut and wont open,we were able to get the driver side lock back open but the passenger door is staying shut and wont unlock with the key
I have cut door panels off to start the repair process in these type of problems. It ended up the car I was working on had a damaged door harness (1999 740il) luckily your car is way down on the list of complex electrical systems, have you removed all power to the electric lock?
If removing power doesn’t work you must remove the door lock solenoid from the top of the door latch, how to do this with the door panel on? It time for a BMW specific Forum.
I had approval from a District Rep. to cut the door panel off.
