I have a 2004 Nissan Murano SL (62,000 miles). Lately the vehicle rides like a truck – very rough. I had my mechanic check the shocks/struts. He says they are fine. So where is the rough ride coming from? The mechanic says it’s the tires, but the tires are only 9 months old. Ideas?
When did the “rough” ride start happening. If its when you got your replacement tires, then yes its the tires.
Can you explain? How do the tires create a rough ride? (Assume that the right ride started shortly after getting the tires).

Sidewall stiffness.
Unlike people, tires are not all created equal. Some have better traction, some have better handling characteristics, some have better ride comfort. My best guess is that your tires are not noted for good ride comfort.
If you go to the Tire Rack website, you might find some comments regarding the ride comfort for your particular model of tire in the customer review section.
