My Lexus Es300 1997 has oil leaking in the front (underside). The amount of oil leak is very light, not even enough to add oil between oil changes. What could be the reason and how to stop the leak?
If it’s leaking oil in front of the vehicle look for either a valve cover gasket leak or an oil pressure sending unit leak.
If it’s leaking in front of the engine, then look for a crankshaft seal leak.
Tester
Like Tester said, the valve cover gaskets are the chief suspect on these Toyota v6 engines, followed by camshaft seals. More of an annoyance, I had mine replaced when they did the timing belt. Get the spark plugs done then too, they have to remove the intake plenum anyway.
