Knocking during turns

Hi all,

Here’s the problem. I’ve got a stick-shift Honda Accord that makes knocking sounds during left hand turns— but ONLY if in gear. If I shift to neutral or push in the clutch, no knocking. The knocking sound is located near the right, front wheel. It seems worse if I am also trying accelerate during the turn. Transaxel fluid appears fine, but does have a slow leak.

I would have the CV joint checked.

I agree. Sure sounds like CV joints to me. CV joint knocking occurs under load on most vehicles.
