Kia Sportage 2017 vs Range Rover Evoque 2017

Hello!
I want to buy a car and cant decide between Kia Sportage 2017 (petrol or diesel) and Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 2017 (diesel). Both AWD, kind of similar power. I like the exterior and interior look on both, but i like a little bit more the Evoque.
Can anyone help me with good and bad things about both? I want to know which one is more reliable. I usually drive only in the city, but I can go once a week or once 2 weeks out of town for a diesel to regenerate the dpf.
Would like to see your point of view and opinions about the engines on both.
Thanks a lot!

Frankly I would not purchase either one used . It seems you are not in the USofA which most of the members here are as diesel kias are not sold here. Kia is not near as good as they were a few years ago . Land Rover is the US has a poor reputation.

What ever you look at have it inspected by an independent shop .

Almost every year, Rover is rated by CR as having the lowest reliability of all manufacturers.

At one time, a neighbor had one, and the amount of time it spent in the shop was… a lot. I knew each time that he took it in for repair because he always got a Rover loaner, but they were of varied colors so it was easy to see that “Tony’s Rover is in the shop again”. Once the warranty expired, he dumped the Rover and bought a VW product.

Neither is a good choice. The hint is the cost of a used SUV. If the Evoke, an expensive SUV is being sold for the same price as the Kia, a cheaper SUV, run as fast as you can from the Land Rover. Petrol Kias have poor petrol engines… not sure about the diesels.

I’d avoid both.
