i have a 1989 jeep and want to replace the v4 with a v6, how much work would it take?
Do you me I4? And which V6? Here’s a site with loads of jeep engine swap info:

It depends on what kind of set-up you have. Does your jeep have air conditioning or power steering? If not, things will go a lot smoother.
Don’t get rid of that Jeep with a V-4!
It is the only one that was ever made, and as a result, it is priceless.
As was already said, the current engine in that car is an I-4, but you need to give us a lot more detail on the vehicle and its current engine and equipment.
Is the 4 cylinder broken? Why does it need replacing? If it’s just a daily driver the 4 will do all that the 6 will do.
is the v4 one of those custom made cut down from a v8 that they use in 3/4 midget race cars?
I hate to say this but if you don’t even know that your 4 cylinder is an Inline, than you shouldn’t even be contemplating an attempt to even think about swapping engines.
