have a 2005 grand cherokee…made a turn into parking lot… as I was turning the car lost power??? I was able to start it up again right away… Any suggestions…thanks
The problem might be with the power steering pressure switch.
When you turn the wheel, the power steering pump imposes a load on the engine. This switch informs the computer that this load is being imposed on the engine. The computer then commands the Idle Air Control motor to move to a position to compensate for this extra load on the engine. And this prevents the engine from stalling while turning with your foot off the accelerator.
