Having issues opening my trunk.
I checked the power lock, and it is getting power, but appears to be jammed and won’t fully actuate. There is a second electric line, what does that actually do for the electric lock?
Is there a way to manually actuate the lock from the inside of the car? Lifting up on the latch cable doesn’t do anything.
The power door lock actuator is jammed or kaput. You need to remove the panel to gain access to the mechanism.Sometimes,if you are lucky enough you could spray some penetrating oil inside the key hole and unfree it.
Thanks, there isn’t a keyhole for the trunk, where else would you suggest spraying lubricant? Inside of the latching mechanism itself?
Yes, lube the latch. I’ve don’t that in the past and the trunk started opening again.
