2009 Toyota Prius tire pressure warning light would not reset, Toyota dealer quoted $200 to fix, went to the tire dealer who repaired for free in five minutes. Also asked for a quote on fuel gauge not reading properly, $1500. Wary of this dealer, I passed and am using odometer to decide when to refuel. Is the quote way too much? Is there a simple fix for the fuel gauge?
Not knowing what the dealer found wrong, impossible to say.
Take it to an independent repair shop and see what they say after looking at the car and diagnosing the problem. It is 10 years old and out of warranty, you don’t have to use the dealer.
