I have a 1997 Honda Accord and today I noticed a loud noise and it seems as though there is less power being delivered when I press the gas. I spoke to my mechanic who said that my exhaust pipe is probably broken near the engine. I can not get it fixed until tomorrow and I am wondering if it is safe for me and the car to drive it minimally today.
It may be something else. It may not be safe (at least, for the engine) to drive it. Have somebody a little knowledgeable listen to the engine.
Don’t put it off, exhaust gases are deadly. If you must drive open a window of 2 to vent the passenger compartment.
