Intermittent stalling dodge stratus 2000 dipping idle

This car idles at about 750rpms in park or neutral but in drive after its warmed up the idle dips down to about 500rpms and at times will stall. I had a complete tune up done this past august but the problem still occurs.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks in advance
pete

I really don’t have any ideas, but suggest you edit your post. I suspect you mean 750 & 500 RPM.

Done Thanks!

It seems odd to me that on the tachometer it says X1000. But I don’t know much about car:slightly_smiling_face:

The problem is most likely with the Idle Air Control valve.

This valve controls the engine’s idle speed under all conditions.

You can try removing and cleaning the IAC valve and the throttle body with throttle body cleaner to see if that helps.

If it doesn’t, the IAC valve probably needs replacement.

Thank you, I’ll give that a try.
