Interesting Custom Car

Saw this on the way to work last week. Don’t know anything about it but I do have questions as to how the powertrain has been modified to fit the narrower and shorter chassis. Anyone else seen anything like this?

That’s one of Tesla’s robo-taxis, which are still in the testing phase. I find it curious that their taxis are so much smaller than the models currently sold.

Here is another pic of the upcoming Tesla Robotaxi. It will not have a steering wheel or pedals, and will rely totally on Tesla’s “Full Self Driving” technology.

Sorry to read that. It’s been about a year since I used FSD, but it definitely wasn’t ready for prime time. Some of the FSD features have leaked to the non-FWD mode. Lately I’ve had two times when the crash detection system has detected an imminent crash when there was only a remote chance. It seems to do it when there is a car parked on the right curb as the road curves to the left. I’m not going to hit the car but FSD has a cow anyway.

Well, luckily, your car can be controlled by the driver, with the steering wheel and its pedals. I like modern technology, but… the thought of cars lacking a steering wheel, pedals, and a driver, on public roads is more than a bit scary–IMO.

Might consider changing the title of the thread, not a custom car.
Custom Car:

The one I saw had a driver (I presume he was driving or monitoring, he was on the left side of the car behind a steering wheel).

I too find it odd that they’ve chosen a 2-seater as a taxi.

Looks so bad that it hurts me physically. Like those new BMWs. Utter garbage of boxy looks compared to their classics. What is wrong with people lately… Stuff used to be more and more beautiful with each generation, but only to the recent point in history…

A “classic” Tesla?

Was a typo bro xD
