The instrument panel on my 1999 Plymouth Voyager keeps going out. They put it on the computer to try and find the problem and it starts working again. We’re planning a trip in about 5 wks. and don’t relish the thought of being out on the road without knowing how fast we’re going, etc. Has anyone else successfully resolved this problem? The car has a 3.3 liter engine and 145,000 miles on it.
I would suspect an intermittent power connection to the dash is causing the trouble
This make/model is notorious for bad solder points in the back of the panel. Check on allpar.com the forums section. I am not sure if this is your problem, but if it is it can be fixed relatively easily and without the aggravation of going through all the other steps needed to narrow it down.
