When driving along all of a sudden all the instruments on the dashboard fails. The [service engine soon] lights up but the car runs fine. After a few miles all the instruments come back on and the service engine soon light goes off. This has happened five times. The mechanic I go to can’t figure it out. I thought Click and clack could.
I would first look for a intermittent power connection to the instument panel. Data shows there is a red/wht power wire going to the IP. The problem my be with the wire terminal in the connector. Tapping on suspected areas while the trouble is occuring may help locate it.
