Im looking to find out what the green connector is (i think its c11). And i have wires at the end i also have to identify (pics will be in comments) i believe the wires (db/or, db/lg) are ac low pressure or the fan or ac clutch. I’ll update as much as possible as i get details! If anyone needs wiring diagrams, i have them all, its just hard for me to read as i am not a pro with diagrams. I get the gist of everything, i just have questions of how to read diagrams!
The wiring diagrams usually also show the wire color and size for each wire. If you can figure that nomenclature out, it will help you to trace each wire. Each manuf usually has their own abbreviations for the wire colors, you’ll lhave to find the Chrysler wire color chart. The wire sizes used to be shown as wire guage, but are now often shown as the cross sectional area in mm^2…
I’ll guess it plugs into the bottom of the relay/power center? Or maybe an interior connector? Can you tell us the location of the connector?
On your wiring diagram, do you see the right side connector? i.e. with a green, gray, blue, and yellow wire? And the green and yellow are thicker (higher cross sectional area) than the grey and blue?
yess i doo
used for which circuit on the wring diagram?
its the low and high fan. now I’m trying to get to the ac low port wires.
i think i might have to take out the engine mount.
if you know a lot, is there anything we can talk on like snap or something? it wont let me send videos
It seems like you are making good progress , good for you. You ask above where to get the wiring. Are you asking where to buy a complete replacement wiring harness? Or just where to buy general purpose replacement wire for auto-engine use?
just wire so i can splice it on instead of changing whole harness
Beyond my paygrade. Probably available online or a good auto parts store. Diy’er-me might risk using hardware store wire, but autos probably require special insulation.
im unclear on the colors of the wires but theyre all just negative and positive right? color is for identification? its the black wire on the ac port connection that snapped somehow but if its just negative wire, i got that lol.
After reviewing the picture, I understand why you asked about the green connector (you didn’t indicate where on the vehicle the connector was located). The TIPM (power module) is missing. Also, the PCM is missing.
Do you rebuild wrecks as a hobby? Are you capable of straightening the front structure to be able to fit the core support and tie-bar? Bumper bar?
i took out the pcm and tipm. getting a p0882 code or somethin like that. I’ll have to double check. everything off is pretty much being replaced. someone hit it. its mine. i have to look for a bumper and fenders and what not.
After seeing a pic of the front end:
I would just go buy another PT Cruiser with the same trim package and use it as a parts, take the best of both and make one… It would probably be cheaper in the long run… It would be bad after splicing that many wires together to get it back on the road and after hitting a few bumps a bad connection pop up and now you have a wiring nightmare cause the color codes don’t match up anymore…
Or just order a used harness…
I am sure car-part,com will have something, enter your vin, might have to make a few calls…
Best of luck to ya…
Maybe even go to a junk yard and take a lot of pictures…
