Pretty much everybody I’ve known thought they were smarter than the rest the world

And their kids are all above average as Garison Keiler would say. One thing to consider though is can a state sustain itself if 1% of the population pays 40% of the expenses, particularly if the 1% starts to vote with their feet? Of course this is just the crux of the great divide.
