as stated in title. i have a mazda3 2010. car amazingly runs fine also been getting decent gas mileage. i just hear odd wobbly noises now and then but this plug is completely disconnected. its hard to take proper pic with phone but this is engine compartment and the end of that green wire is disconnected and its some type of electrical plug. i am asking what is that part that is disconnected and what would that entail in terms of the function of this vehicle.
I can’t see any wire. But I will ask… does anything not work? I everything works, ignore it.
Might be for an option your particular car doesn’t have
Sometimes vehicle wiring harnesses have electrical connectors included in them that plug into nothing.
This is because a wiring harness may used in more than one vehicle where a component isn’t used, or the vehicle didn’t come with the component, or a component may be added in the future by the manufacturer.
Tester
On Gm there is a green connector that is a factory test link for the fuel pump.
What about that thing the green wire and connector are behind? I don’t see pins or sockets but that part seems to have a clip that looks like as electrical connection lock.
OP is apparently having difficulty w/ getting a good view of the area with camera-phone. Maybe a mirror might help?
