You can always count on me for carap.

Wouldike to khow the Hummer driver did not see das flashin’ lights on straight level Interstate highway and ran into the CSP vehicle. A little DUI himself?

No one but the involved parties would even care.

In another story, it’s a good thing it is winter because the river the vehicle went on is frozen.

One thing I do remember from the GM bankruptcy was a very detailed article from their marketing department about the demographics of the customers of every GM division. It must have been posted in error because I could never find it again.

For Hummer customers one of their endearing characteristics was that they had more incarcerations percentage than any other GM division.

Why do I have trouble with the idea that a Marketing Department of any company would make a claim the one of their products was popular with people who do things that put them in prision?

That line sounds like a recycled legend, because no sane marketing team would publish that in a deck. If it ever existed someone would have posted a screenshot by now.

I read the exact detailed report. All 20-30 or so pages. All successful multibillion dollar companies know everything about the demographics of their customers.

This report was clearly not intended for public release. I found it in the court legal files connected with the government sponsored recapitalization of GM. Remember they decided which divisions to keep and which to drop. Hummer and Pontiac dropped. Buick Cadillac Chevy and GMC they kept. This study was done in that context.

It was taken down just a day or two after I read it. Sorry I didn’t download it. It made for interesting reading.

@johnlump Why do you have your profile hidden ? People might want to see other posts you have made.

That is their business, not any of ours.

You should be able to see anyone’s profile on a public forum… Unless of course you are hiding or something… Makes you wander if they are wearing an aluminum foil hat while they are on line…

Remembering a rich relative going way over the speed limit in Louisiana taking us to his mega yacht. My wife asked aren’t you afraid of getting pulled over, he said no everybody knows me here.

I never set it up. Why is it important to you?

I never set it up. Didn’t think it matters.

Doesn’t look like Mr Volvo set his up either as well as most of the members on the forum, but his nor any other regular poster (that I have seen) has their profile set to private… To me, someone that is hiding something is not very trust worthy… So again, I wounder what you are hiding… Being able to view someone’s profile does not give them ANY personal info about you other than what YOU add to it…

And you literally HAVE to go into your profile settings and look for it under Profile and then literally have to click the Box that says Hide my public profile, it took me a minute or two to even find it, so YES YOU did SET it up, but you set it up to be private!!! If you are that dang paranoid, then you shouldn’t be on any public forum…

Like Mr Volve pointed out, sometimes we like to look at some ones profile to check a post they had made, especially if it was of interest…

I am not gonna loose any sleep over it, but don’t take this old lower educated redneck as a dunbass either and have the nerve to say you didn’t set it up, cause ya did set it up, to be private…

Have a wonderful day…

I set my profile to private just to see if it causes turmoil.

I have no problem if someone sets it to private, there are so many information gathering bots out there that I have no interest in feeding.

OK, I will bite, I have looked at many profiles and even yours, what possible and useful info can anyone or anything get from you or any other member on here with a visible profile vs a private profile??? Unless you are stupid/crazy enough to post your personal info in your profile…
