My wife used a dc converter in our lighter to run a small compressor to air up a boat. The fuse is good (15amp) so, how do i remove the piece of junk?
It is unusual for a lighter to go bad. Certainly a one-time use of a DC converter should not do it. First make certain you truly have a bad lighter receptacle or element.
If you are determined to replace it, all lighters are handled the same way. Reach behind and undo the electrical connections. Then, also from behind, twist off the casing in the usual counterclockwise direction.
