Is there an additive that removes water from power steering fluid?
No, there is not .
What is the nature of the problem?
Did you or somebody else add water, coolant, or washer fluid to the power steering fluid reservoir by mistake?
Is the fluid aerated . . . foamy?
I replaced the ps pump last fall.I live way up north when it gets below 20degrees the return line blows off which is a common problem for some rigs.I was constantly having to reattach the return line, bleed the pump the power steering pump would grind, squeal and the fluid would foam up ,I thought the pump was ruined.Since it has warmed up everything has miraculously gone back to normal, but when I check the ps fluid condensation has floated to the top. What I need to know is there an additive that removes water from the fluids,do I have to do another fluid change, and could water in fluids damage the pump? Thanks for your help.
