How many quars of engine oil are needed for an oil change on a Sentra 2005 1.8?
Your oil capacity should be listed in your owner’s manual. Do you have it?
It also should be on a label under your hood.
And I agree that you should familiarize yourself with your owners’ manual.
And if you don’t have the manual, and the sticker is gone, add 1/2 a quart, then check the dipstick. Repeat until you’ve got oil on the dipstick. Once you do, let it sit, so the oil you’ve poured in has time to make it all the way to the pan. Then check it again. Keep track of how much you put in and make a note in your maintenance log so you’ve got the info next time.
