A European selection…
1978-1982 [1974] Renault 5 - rolled a bit on corners but went everywhere. Had to take spare dry pugs tho’ for damp mornings.
1982-85 [80] Fiat 127- black with orange go-faster stripes. Great 105hp boy-racer car, but hopeless rust.
1985-2002 Fiat Strada 60CL: Slow, useful, loyal friend for 17 years. Tough as old boots.
1995-2009 Fiat Tempra 1.6 estate. Quirky, comfy, a good drive but forever overheating. Like the Strada, proves that Fiats now last a long time with no special attention
2005-2009 Mitsubishi Pajero 2.5 A big beast which I drive to the scrap yard with one gear left.
2009- Citroen C8 - A boring bus for all the kids
2010- VW Polo - a handy runabout
2010- Fiat Panda. Most in the US would run a mile, but it’s cheap, cool and great to drive
I have owned several cars. Some are not very well know and I can’t remember half of them. I can remember the price I paid and about what I spent on them. These are not in order when I bought them but pretty close. I was 16 when I bought the bonniville and 50 when I bought the Porsche 912E 996 Turbo coupe. Still have the Porsche’s, F350 ford dually crewcab 1 ton diesel and looking at buying a 1957 chevy truck at the end of this month.

The T&C was a piece of crap (bought used, clearly abused by the previous owners, but I didn’t spend much on it), but the rest were/are good. Right now I own the Focus and the Odyssey…I miss the Solara the most, it was a nice car.
I tried to make a list of all the vehicles that I’ve owned. The estimate is around 500 vehicles and several letters from a few states stating that if I registered another vehicle that year…I would need a dealer’s license. The list includes 35 V8 Vegas that I sold in the late 70’s. My dad owned a Sunoco service station in the sixties so I started collecting early in life. I owned 50 vehicles before I got my driver’s license. I’ve owned a lot of different vehicles of various brands except for
Fords. My dad was a Ford guy so I loathed them. My favorite vehicle was my 1957 Chevy BelAir. I owned several different ones but my first one was my favorite.
