Hello all, my 92 Chrysler 5th ave before today gave no signs of transmission issues. While backing out of a parking space with engine warm, there was a loud shuddering & vibration with gentle throttle. Drove down the road okay for about 1/2 mile and stopped for gas, just for kicks tried reverse again with the same result. After pulling out again the car wouldn’t shift past 2nd for the rest of the one mile trip home and I could feel some slipping. Checked the fluid, which was a little low, one quart actually over filled it by a hair. Took it for spin around the block, did shift through all gears, but had the shudder in reverse and felt some slipping and shuddering in forward gears. First off is it as terminal as it sounds, and second, do you think it’ll run long enough to burn the full tank of fuel I just put in?
