Honda Headlight

I have a 2005 Honda CR-V. The left low beam headlight has burned out four times since last August. After inspecting the electrical system, the only thing that the dealer gives me as an option is to use a Honda bulb instead of a third party bulb. Has anyone else encountered this situation?

I would check the condition of the contacts for the bulb in the bulb socket.

Three things come to mind

  • Vibration
  • Moisture
  • Handling the bulb when installing it. The little grease from your fingers can greatly reduce life.
