My 2003 crv runs great but now started a whine & 2 very good mechanics said it’s the alternator bearings starting to go. Is it safe to drive locally until my new alternator arrives Friday w/o risking seizure of old one ?? Ty
It’s a crap shoot.
It may last, or it could seize up today.

I’d suggest having the number for a tow truck handy, just in case.
