When starting cold the Vue has a brief 2-4 second period of no acceleration out of the garage or for the first few stop signs within the first 1/2 mile. As the gas pedal is pushed to slowly accelerate, the car pauses as rpms decrease the car never stalls out. After the brief period of “no acceleration” the car accelerates in a normal fashion. Once warm the car never has this “hesitation.”
Here are 4 suggestions.
- Ignition system not operating properly.
- Clogged or dirty fuel injectors
- Low fuel pressure. (Perhaps the fuel filter is dirty or the fuel regulator is faulty)
4)Emissions or engine control system components faulty.
I had the same thing on my Vue but it didn’t happen often. I traded it. I call it the GM computer glitch but I didn’t try to find out what caused it.
